For centuries, the Ash has been one of Ireland’s most valued trees: strong, flexible, and beautiful. It gave us hurls, walking sticks, and tool handles, and holds a powerful role in Irish folklore as a guardian of the land. Yet today, Ash trees are under grave threat from dieback, a fungal disease that has already had a serious impact across the country.

Pressing these leaves felt like a way to preserve something precious, to hold onto its story as its presence fades from our landscapes. Each print is both a botanical artwork and a lasting reminder of the Ash’s place in our heritage.

Print & Production

Each piece begins with leaves and flowers carefully gathered and hand-pressed over several weeks. Once dried, they are arranged into botanical artworks and photographed, before being reproduced as fine-art prints.

Printed in partnership with one of Europe’s leading fine-art print labs, using a certified carbon-neutral process. Any unavoidable emissions from printing and delivery are fully offset through accredited climate projects.
